Construction on the $1.9 million athletic fields north of the Fitness Center continues to be delayed by Ann Arbor Township, which has yet to give it the final greenlight. The meeting has been delayed twice and is now scheduled for the beginning of May. Should it approve WCC's plans, which Vice President of Facilities and Mainentance Damon Flowers expects despite minor concerns on the part of the township, there will be nothing holding the college back from beginning a summer-long construction. For now, Flowers still expects the project to be complete by the beginning of the Fall 2009 semester.

"This is essentially just moving around dirt."
